The Blackforest Motorsports No.5 Ford Mustang GT of Ian James and Tom Nastasi won the opening race of the 2005 Grand-Am Cup Series, the Grand-Am Cup 200, at Daytona Beach in February. In October James and Nastasi repeated their success by winning the season finale at the Virginia International Raceway. Their victories enabled Ford to claim the 2005 Grand Am Cup Manufacturer's Championship.
